McKinley...Brand New
It seems as though it was just yesterday when we were taking Megan and Brandon’s maternity pictures. On December 25, they welcomed a perfect little girl into this great big world, McKinley. I’m quite certain she was the best Christmas gift her mama and daddy could ever ask for.
Around the time McKinley was a week old, I headed over to their house to document her newborn days. Not to mention, about 20 minutes before this, Brandon saved my dog in the neighborhood. Thank goodness for amazing friends, right? Anyway, as soon as I walked in to their home and saw Megan and Brandon loving on their new little girl, I knew she was not missing out on any cuddles and loving.
All of the in-between moments during our session together were the best. The little kisses in between positioning and gazing into her sweet little eyes… there’s nothing better. Little McKinley didn’t even make a cry during our time together…she just admired her mama and daddy (fur brother, Tucker, too).
Can we mention those precious, tiny hands and feet? I had forgotten what it was like to watch a newborn’s sporadic movement as they’re learning what it’s like to move outside of the womb. Those tiny hands reaching for the ceiling or touching her sweet, little face…ah! The sweetest!
Look at the way her daddy is looking at her…I think she’s got him wrapped around her little finger! I wonder how long it will take for McKinley to be out on the golf course with her daddy?
I’m going to end this by sharing just a few more of the sweet moments documented during McKinley’s newborn session, but I just wanted to take a second to share how proud I am to be a friend of Megan and Brandon. McKinley came into this world making her mama and daddy jump right on their toes and they have proven themselves to be amazing parents, however we already knew they would be great after watching how they’ve always loved one another. Watching them love and nurture little McKinley made my heart smile and was just another way they’ve shown me what amazing people they are. I am so very thankful to call them my friends.
xox,
Hillary
