Awaiting a Little Boy

A maternity session inside?! This has been on my “must do” list for quite some time. In-home lifestyle sessions have such special meaning…it’s your home! I’ve also grown to love these sessions because they push me to be more creative with movement and light. If you were to watch a behind the scenes video of an in-home session, you’ll likely see me standing on furniture, moving drapes, and working at all sorts of strange angles...trust me, it’s worth the craziness!

Mandy and Jerry are awaiting the arrival of a precious little boy in the coming weeks. These two are so giddy and in love with this little guy already. I think it’s pretty safe to safe this little fella is going to be spoiled rotten, but that’s what’s supposed to happen, right?!

Our beautiful session together began indoors because we had a micro-blizzard for about an hour prior to the session time. We had planned to be outside for the entire session, but in-home — YES! It was perfect. I loved capturing special, intimate moments of these two snuggled up in front of a pretty window.

The weather cleared enough for us to brave the cold and head outside for a few fun shots in the snow. Mandy was super prepared and even had blue glitter to create a fun shot at the end of our session.

This gallery makes me smile each time I scroll through it because there are SO MANY HAPPY MOMENTS! I am always so thankful for families trusting me to document these special times for their family. Mandy and Jerry - I can’t wait to see you two become parents! <3
