Welcome to the world, Maxton!

As said many times, in-home lifestyle newborn sessions are my favorite. There’s just something special about capturing those fresh, new moments in your own home. Everyone’s comfortable - especially little ones. Maxton’s newborn session was perfect. Big sister, Avery, hugged, kissed, and fed her little brother just as she always does even when the camera isn’t pointed at her. Mom and dad are so in love with these two little ones.

There were so many precious moments during this session and I couldn’t wait to get home and begin working on their gallery. There was something a little different about this session that I think made it significant to me - I decided to embrace the shadows and low light..oh, and I ditched the beanbag to allow for more authentic connections to take place. I should’ve had this mindset long ago, but it really set in leading up to this session because it was rainy out and the amount of light was limited, but we knew we wanted to try and get this session in. So, we did it and it was beautiful.
